with Rev. Conneta Johnson
(A Spiritual, non-religious, view of Mother Mary’s life)
This eight-week class will tell a story of Mother Mary, born to Anna and Joachim and known to her family and friends as Myriam. We will hear of her life from pre-birth to death, from several different authors, each with their own perspectives. Each perspective will be presented, without judgment, to allow the student to form their own conclusions.
While the material is limited, the stories are vast, and weave together an amazing tapestry of a life where so little is actually known and yet she is so loved, so honored and so revered 2000 years after her death.
The story cannot be told without the telling of Myriam’s mother Anna, that of her husband Joseph, her son Yeshua/Jesus, her cousin Elizabeth and her other children, especially James.
